National Hot Buttered Rum Day

We landed some rare southern snow right in time for a delicious event. We wish all a happy  Hot buttered rum day from myself and my bro dan.


We Took it upon ourselves to play with the old recipe we have on file as we were inspired by the timely Atomic Grog Log post.

Hot Buttered Haole’s
1 ½ oz Cruzan Gold                                                                                                                                 ½ oz Benedictine                                                                                                                                     1 tbsp softened butter
½ oz white grapefruit
¼ oz cinnamon syrup
1 orange peel
3-4 oz boiling water

Combine the ingredients in a heatproof mug topping with boiling water and stirring to dissolve and melt.


Stay warm and safe. We’ll marvel at thus mysterious white stuff coating our yard awhile longer. Until next time…
